The Parish Council normally consists of 11 Councillors, at present meets Bi-monthly on the 2^nd Wednesday of May, July, September, November, January and March.

Meetings are normally held in the Lacy Thompson Memorial Hall at 19.30hrs, agenda and minutes are published on the website and the notice boards of Hallbankgate, Farlam and Tindale. The full complement of the council is eleven members, but at present there are only six members and in fact the council is rarely fully staffed.

Parish councillors are trustees of Farlam Parish Trust.

The Trust meets twice a year, in March and September prior to the Parish Council meetings to consider any grant requests.
